We conduct the following training Note: These training programmes are especially organised at the request of voluntary organisations or donor agencies for their staff personnel or partners. The dates and the total cost of the training are negotiable. There is choice of two venues: Programme Centre at Ranchi and a village farm in a remote rural locality with training facilities. Sustainable Agriculture Basically a training on the principles of organic farming. It is mostly drawn from the experience of field personnel who are continuously involved in testing agricultural methods in Vikas Maitri's own farm in rural areas. See details. Training on Panchayati Raj The Panchayati Raj has not yet been implemented in Jharkhand State, though the legislation is already there. Besides giving information on the Constitutional amendment the training concentrates on the Provisions of Panchayati Raj (extension to scheduled areas) Act which was passed to make Panchayats coexist with traditional Panchayats in tribal areas. Statutory Rights and Obligations of Voluntary Organisations The topics deal with intricacies of the Societies Registration Act, Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, Income Tax Act as applicable to Voluntary Organisations and Employees Provident Fund Act. See details. Tribal History, Culture, Values and Aspirations Jharkhand is the abode of a number of ethnic tribal groups. They are still struggling maintain their identity. The main problem is the outsiders are unable to comprehend the wishes of the people which is a bottleneck for mutual understanding. The training is intended to dispel this ignorance.
